This course explores the current trends, identifiers, and dynamics of hybrid street gang investigations. Not all street gangs establish themselves with a nationally recognized gang name, but your local hybrid street gangs are just as violent, and capable of criminal racketeering activity as nationally recognized gangs in larger cities. This class will explain the command structure, membership requirements, and self-created signs and symbols, hybrid gangs will use to identify themselves to the community and the rivals they feud with. Additional gang evidence will also be covered such as hybrid gang prosecution options, tips on how to organize hybrid gang intelligence, and how to convince an audience a hybrid gang exist in your community.

Prerequisites

Sworn Law Enforcement Officer (Federal, State, and Local), Employee of the State Department of Corrections, Employee of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Employee of the Prosecuting / District Attorney’s Office (State and Federal), and/or an employee of the County Adult and Juvenile Probation Department.
