Professional police officers are faced with interacting with members of the public in a variety of circumstances and settings. From a mere encounter on the street to a controlled setting, a police officer’s ability to properly interview a member of the public as part of their job is of paramount importance. Moreover, professional police officers must be ever cognizant of the demonstrated behaviors towards them by members of the public during that interview process. Correctly interpreting those behaviors is of principal importance to the many functions and responsibilities of a professional police officer. Quite frankly, an officer’s life may hang on that correct interpretation.

 

Webinar Objectives:

This webinar is designed to provide the participants with an introductory overview of the principles of Kinesics and Cognitive Interviewing Techniques and the inclusion of those techniques as part of the foundational components of the interview process.

The LSAT 12- hour basic training webinar is presented in 4, three-hour blocks over two days. The class will start at 10:00a.m. EST and end at 5:00p.m. EST each day. You will get a 1-hour lunch break each day.
