Wellness: The Devil Comes at Midnight

Description

This 2-hour webinar, designed for law enforcement of all ranks and positions, focuses on officer wellness. It is common to suffer from anxiety, stress, and depression, but what happens when it becomes chronic and locks us into the loop? A police officer takes their own life about every 3 days. We must have a wellness safety net in place.

This course discusses:
• Stress, accumulative stress, and PTSD
• How the brain processes traumatic events
• Officer suicide prevention
• Steps to create a personal wellness program
• Wellness Resources

The presenter, Don Moore, discusses a critical use of force event he was involved in and captured on audio tape. Don talks about the aftermath and the emotional roller coaster he and his family rode on.

The LSAT 12- hour basic training webinar is presented in 4, three-hour blocks over two days. The class will start at 10:00a.m. EST and end at 5:00p.m. EST each day. You will get a 1-hour lunch break each day.
