Guest Collaborator –
Allison J. Haley EdS Allison Haley is a licensed school counselor in Virginia Beach, VA. She has a deep passion for encouraging students with disabilities and carries the full caseload of special education students at one of the largest high schools in the district. She served as adjunct psychology faculty at Tidewater Community College from 2003-2017. Allison was an Instructional Specialist for Virginia Beach Public Schools working with 85 schools to develop and coordinate a compliant Section 504 program. Allison earned a BA in Psychology at Sweet Briar College, continuing her education at Old Dominion University with an MsEd in School Counseling. She earned an EdS at Liberty University in Educational Leadership. Her counseling experiences have included a variety of settings such as court-sanctioned group homes, teen emergency shelters, juvenile detention centers, alternative disciplinary high school settings, and all levels of public schools. Allison has high expectations for her students and believes in the power of relationships to foster motivation and future success.
