Please be aware that this class is a 20-hour training. Therefore, the first two days of training will be 8am-5pm local time. The last day will be 8am-12pm local time.

 

Advanced Search & Seizure: Warrantless Searches

This course is designed for experienced law enforcement officers who already possess a background knowledge and functional experience in search and seizure law. The instruction is advanced and fast-paced and uses case studies to explain the development and the current status of the legal aspects of searches and seizures. Advanced Search & Seizure: Traffic Stops This advanced course covers practically every legal issue regarding traffic stops. Topics include community caretaking and reasonable suspicion stops, warrantless searches, Miranda, consent searches, inventories, and much more. The latest cases regarding K9 searches is also taught. Students completing this course will know how to handle practically every search and seizure scenario they run into involving vehicles. Advanced Search & Seizure: Narcotic Investigations This advanced course covers the most important legal issues for proactive narcotics officers and street officers. Topics include undercover operations inside homes, executing drug warrants, motel rooms, and knock and announce rules. Officer liability is also taught, including wrong-address liability. The course also includes a thorough explanation of all the Miranda requirements. And much, much more.
