Ethics in Law Enforcement

Description

This course focuses on ethical practices in law enforcement. We examine the potential for pitfalls in the practice of law enforcement.  Whether behaviors and actions are predisposed or learned, every agency must address potential and ongoing corruptive acts. When adverse behaviors are addressed, head-on, many unfortunate events are mitigated. Getting back to policy, training, and accountability, are central to reducing liability and potential harm to an individual and the agency as a whole. We will explore many aspects of questionable practices as well as the consequences to such acts. This course is highly participatory, your officers will been gaged and able to share their thoughts, concerns, and potential solutions to problems.

This two-part webinar will address the essential elements of effective writing, followed by tips and techniques for finding and writing grants. While each is designed to be standalone, taking the essentials of effective writing is a valuable precursor to the grant writing webinar. The two sessions are beneficial for law enforcement officers and associated administrative or support staff. You will improve and expand your skills in writing and researching, with an emphasis on grants.
