Target Audience: First-line supervisors through head of agency/department — police, fire, and corrections personnel currently serving in, or about to enter, a supervisory role. Appropriate for single agency or multi-agency mixed-discipline cohorts.
Course Description: This 21-hour (1 hour each day for lunch is deducted), 3-day course addresses applied emotional intelligence and behavioral-science competencies for public safety supervisors, with emphasis on generational workforce leadership, mentoring, accountability, and crisis decision-making. Instructional methodology includes direct instruction, facilitated discussion, individual and paired skills practice, discipline-specific small group
tabletop scenarios, and a capstone practical exercise in place of a written exam.
