This is a 2.5 day (20 hour) class; therefore, the first two days of class will begin at 8:00am and end at 4:30pm. The last day of class will begin at 8:00am and end at Noon.
This class is designed for the line supervisors and administrators assigned the responsibility of overseeing a field training unit. One of the key elements of success in a field training program is program management. Often programs will train the FTO but fail to prepare the supervisor for the variety of tasks required to properly coordinate, administrate, and lead the field training unit. This course will prepare the Field Training Manger (FTM) and Field Training Coordinator (FTC) for the requirements of their positions.
During this class we will discuss how to become an agent of change and progression within your department via the Field Training Program. By analyzing the climate of your department and the culture of your municipalities. This course will help attendees work towards a common goal of all Law Enforcement Officers and Agencies to gain back the trust from the American people through a solid foundation of trainers, supervisors, and managers.
