A day of incident debriefs:
“Facilitating a face-to-face surrender with an armed subject”
Working through obstacles with SWAT and negotiating from a forward position.
“Standoff with an armed murder suspect”
Being flexible, creative, and thinking outside of the box.
“Last call”
Thirteen-hour standoff with a cop killer.
“Kill Line”
A study into encounters with an armed suicidal subject.

Prolonged Call-Out and Team Transition Considerations
This course will examine debriefs from the instructor’s experience with a 32-hour and with a 10-hour call-out which will illustrate the challenges associated with team transitions during an extended call-out operations. How to effectively conduct, and issues associated with team transitions will be covered, along with the recognition of team member fatigue, and team training suggestions on this topic.

Dr. Collins will present on negotiating with individuals who have major illnesses and communicating with suicidal subjects and the phenomenon of suicide-by-cop. Communicating with extremists, people who have delusional-like and over-valued beliefs will also be discussed
