Zach (Zachariah) Johnson

Zachariah Johnson has a Master Peace Officer license and has been employed with the Lubbock Police Department for 20 years. He served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Crime Scene Officer, Mental Health Peace Officer, and Hostage Negotiator. Zachariah has been a certified Advanced Instructor since 2012 and teach the FTO School, Interview/Interrogation, and Investigations at the Lubbock Police Academy. He has also taught the Hostage Negotiation School and Critical Incident 40-hour course. Zachariah has been assigned as a Homicide investigator, in total, for 10 years.  He had a nationally recognized and televised Capital Murder case, and the same case was utilized in Vernon Geberth’s “Fundamentals of Homicide Investigations” course. Zachariah has been a certified Cellebrite Operator and Physical Analyst since 2023. He has been recognized as an Expert in Cellular Phone Extraction and Examination as of this year in District Court.
