Please be aware that this class is a 20-hour training. Therefore, the first two days of training will be 8am-4pm local time. The last day will be 8am-12pm local time.

Understanding Sexual Offender Behavior: Clinical, Behavioral, and Investigative Applications is a dynamic 24-hour training designed for professionals who want to sharpen their investigative instincts and gain a deeper, more actionable understanding of sexual offender behavior. This course blends cutting-edge behavioral science with real-world investigative application, giving students the tools to interpret offender actions, decode motivation, and recognize the subtle patterns that drive sexual offending.
Participants will explore the full landscape of sexual deviance involving both child and adult victims — from grooming dynamics and access strategies to DSM-5-TR paraphilic disorders and crime-scene behavioral evidence. You’ll learn how preferential offenders operate, why certain behaviors repeat, and how to apply clinical concepts directly to interviews, search warrants, charging decisions, and supervision strategies. As the lesson plan notes, “Ritualistic behavior is repetitive and difficult for offenders to change,” a principle that becomes a powerful investigative advantage once understood.

This course is built for detectives, forensic interviewers, probation/parole officers, and anyone responsible for investigating, supervising, or managing sexual offenders. Through lectures, case studies, crime-scene interpretation exercises, and behavioral analysis drills, students develop the confidence to identify offender typologies, interpret behavioral clues, and strengthen victim-centered responses.

If you want to elevate your professional skill set, improve investigative precision, and understand sexual offenders at a level that truly impacts case outcomes, this course delivers the knowledge and practical tools to get you there.
