Crime Without Borders: Transnational Organizations and Financial Investigations
Description
Today's criminal organizations routinely operate across state, national, and international boundaries, and financial investigations frequently provide the evidence necessary to dismantle them. Drawing from investigative and supervisory experience in the United States, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands, this course explores how transnational criminal organizations function and intersect with local crime while equipping investigators to recognize indicators of fraud, money laundering, identity theft, organized retail crime, and other financial offenses. Participants will gain a broader understanding of cross-border investigations, intelligence sharing, and the financial investigative techniques that strengthen both local and federal criminal cases.
