Course Objectives:

Fire investigations is the process of obtaining facts about a fire to bring you to the conclusion—the Origin of the Fire and Cause.

This class will provide you with the tools and knowledge to help you obtain true facts about any fire investigation. This is an entry level class for new personnel entering into fire investigation.

Supposition, misinformation and false intuition will lead to false conclusions.  Using the Correct protocol based on empirical data with proper analysis equals a credible case.

Each Student will be asked to participate in group exercises given different assignments of the above objectives from the instructor.

Note: Please bring a copy of NFPA 921 Guideline for Fire & Explosion Investigation 2021 Edition and NFPA 1033 Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Investigators 2022 Edition, if available to assist in group exercises. This module will have group exercises to engage attendees and CFItrainer Videos per instructor’s discretion, to supplement the Objective being taught.
