This immersive course provides an in-depth exploration of the behavioral, psychological, and criminal patterns that precede violent and sexually motivated offenses. Participants will gain practical knowledge to identify abnormal behaviors, recognize a wide range of severe mental illnesses—including psychotic disorders, mood disorders, and personality disorders—and understand how hallucinations, delusions, and impaired cognition can influence offender behavior. The course also covers paraphilic disorders and the dynamics of sexually motivated homicide. Through case studies, interactive discussions, and evidence-based strategies, officers will develop skills in threat assessment, early intervention, and risk mitigation, enhancing their ability to safely and effectively respond to high-risk offenders.
