Douglas Kein

Doug has 13 years investigating high-technology crimes with an Illinois Police Department.  While assigned to the Investigations division Doug created the police department’s first digital forensics unit allowing for the processing of real time digital evidence assisting in the prosecution of ongoing criminal cases. 

Doug brings real world hands-on experiences in conducting complex and high-stakes investigations where the digital artifacts developed during the investigation strengthen the criminal cases. His work has spanned across critical domains such as child exploitation, violent crimes against persons, cybercrimes, social media-based investigations, network intrusions and premeditated murders. 

Doug is a SME in Cellular Tower Analysis, Mobile Phone Tracking, Mobile / Computer Forensics, Vehicle Forensics, Social Media Analysis, Child Exploitation Investigations and drafting complex technical Search Warrant.  Doug is a member of the USSS Electronic Crimes, Cook County ICAC and a member of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists
