Darryl Rivers will present on Solving challenging points of dialogue before they become challenging. Negotiating with individuals who have major illnesses vs. individuals with personality disorders. Dealing with suicidal subjects and the mindset of the self-aware negotiator. 

4/14/2025 - Jack Cambria - 8:00am-5:00pm

1) Negotiating with TerroristPulse Nightclub Incident: 

-Instruction will include lessons learned from four major terrorist/hostage related events, including the Pulse Nightclub mass shooter/hostage situation in Orlando, Florida. 

2) NYPD Police Detective taken hostage at gunpoint inside a Manhattan precinct station house incident review. 

3) Suicide by Cop Negotiation Strategies.

 4/15/2025 - Brandon Pierpoint - 8:00am-5:00pm:

A day of incident debriefs:
“Facilitating a face-to-face surrender with an armed subject”
Working through obstacles with SWAT and negotiating from a forward position.

“Standoff with an armed murder suspect”
Being flexible, creative, and thinking outside of the box.

“Last call”
Thirteen-hour standoff with a cop killer.

“Kill Line”
A study into encounters with an armed suicidal subject.
